Prepare for Account View login

1. If your account is not accessed through Scott W. Yanker, CFP ^®, CFS then return to   home page
2. Be sure you understand online security before proceding.
3. How do you know you are really on the login page for LPL Account View?  Look in the address bar.  The leftmost portions should read exactly as:
   https://accountview.lpl.com/
   There will be more to the right of that. The lock symbol should also appear indicating that the line starts with https.

4. Go to login
   -or- or Go to LPL Account View login if security settings don't allow a new window/tab.

About Passwords

LPL recommendations:

• Between 8 and 20 characters in length
• At least 3 of the following characteristics: Upper Case, Lower Case,Number, Special Character from ~ @ # % ^ - _ + = { } [ ] : ? ! $ * ; / \
• Must NOT contain username
• NO more than 3 of the same characters in a row
• NO spaces

Additional suggestions: The longer the better, currently suggested at least 14 characters. No personal information (birth-date, address, phone number, etc.) No dictionary words! Even backwards! No runs such as abcd, lkj, 543, qwerty, !@#$, etc. Have different passwords for each important account (including your e-mail.)
Store passwords securely. But store them in a safe place such as a slip of paper in a wallet, a USB drive stored in a LOCKED personal file cabinet or a file that uses a STRONG encryption with a STRONG encryption key but not an online file. Do not share passwords or leave them the where others can find them. Return them to storage quickly after use. If you think your password might be compromised, change it!
